Ukrain
Dear Customers and Friends,
Like all of us, we wonder about our possibilities of action to help the Ukrainian people in this appalling ordeal of war, and we have identified a concrete path to be useful immediately.
Let me explain …
We have a small fleet of vans that service our restaurants and return empty to our central depot.
On the other hand, we know Brussels Expo well, we have a restaurant in Hall 5, not far from Hall 11 where the Ukrainian Embassy collects donations and sends them to their beleaguered country.
So we thought we could offer anyone who wants to make donations to drop them off at any Thai Café, and we'll pick them up and drop them off at Hall 11 in the hands of these great volunteers who sort and pack all these basic necessities destined for Ukraine.
In addition, if it is complicated for you to come and drop off these donations, we can pick them up from your home, as long as you are located within our radius of action around one of our restaurants. In this case, leave us a message at ukraine@thaicafe.be !
Here is the list of object categories provided by the Embassy of Ukraine:
• Medicines and first aid items (*)
• Small furniture (camp beds & mattresses)
• Kitchen accessories
• Small electrical equipment (powerbanks, batteries, flashlights)
• Blankets and sleeping bags
• Towels
• Non-perishable food
• Coffee & tea
• Soft drinks, water, milk
• Pet food
• Hygiene products
• All baby products (diapers, milk powder, etc.)
(*) Medicines: analgesics, antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, insulin, wound treatment, dressings, tourniquets, disinfectants, iso-betadine, and other medical supplies, syringes, oximeters, thermometers, first aid kits (NATO standard) are also required !
You can find more details here: https://lnkd.in/dQ4EZUtH
It is very important to group the items of your donations by category, in a bag or a box, without mixing different categories, and indicating clearly (in English if possible) what it is.
Thank you for your help, let's stay united, all together we can defeat barbarism!
Michael
